Thanksgiving Food Distribution

Project GiveBack gMakes a Difference in the Communityh by distributing
over 350 food baskets to underprivileged families in the Washington,
DC Area.
Project GiveBack, a local community
service organization, held its 12th Annual ThanksgivingFood Distribution
on Saturday, November 18, 2006. The day began at 4:00 a.m. when
volunteers loaded two 24 foot trucks with food from Share, a branch
of Catholic Charities in Hyattsville, Maryland. The second shift
began at 5:30 a.m. at Ferebee-Hope Elementary School located in
Southeast Washington, DC which served as the Headquarters for the
day. Volunteers unloaded the trucks and assembled the food baskets.
At 8:30 a.m. volunteers began delivering food baskets. At the end
of the day, over 350 nutritious food baskets had been distributed
to underprivileged families in the Washington, DC area. Over 400
volunteers participated in this heart warming program.
